Bringing clarity to the publication process...

Maggie PowellI started Maggie Powell Designs in 2001 after having spent 13 years with an international non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. There I gained print and presentation design experience from my work with partners around the world, many of whom I still count as colleagues, clients, and friends. I would like to help you with your publication needs—be they editing, design, or production. My goal is to bring clarity to the publication process and peace of mind to you.

Testimonials

"I've worked with Maggie Powell since the dawn of desktop publishing, sometime last century. She was great then when the technology was still clunky, but she's even better now--intelligent design, efficient production, totally reliable! I've lost track of the number of publication projects we've done together, but it's big, and it's always a delight to work with her."

"I’ve worked with Maggie on a variety of projects from annual reports and marketing pieces to event collateral and merchandise. What I particularly value is her knack for enabling my creativity all the while keeping me focused on the less exciting but critically important budget and deadline. Maggie lets me have my cake and eat it too."

"Maggie knows what it is like to work for demanding clients. She meets those demands with hard work and resourcefulness (not to mention calm and good humor) and has provided me with work of consistently high quality throughout the many years of our collaboration."

"I have worked with many graphic artists and ad writers over the years, but often found myself bouncing around having to use several people to accomplish what I was looking for. Maggie provided the writing, editing, and design skills I needed to make my business stand out and be heard. Compliments abound from business associates and customers when I hand out my brochures and business materials which Maggie designed. She is prompt, concise, detail-oriented, and extremely creative."
